A: Dear Dellina, The answer to this question is very exciting! The Bible tells us that Jesus will come to get us Himself! Jesus said “I go to prepare a place for you, and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also” (John 14:1-3). The Bible tells us just how He is going to take us to Himself in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17: “For the Lord himself will descend from heaven… and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air…” In other words, those who have died, Jesus will raise to life, and those who are living will all be “caught up” – taken up to Jesus in the clouds, to go to heaven with Him, at His Second Coming. The Bible also tells us that the angels with gather us up to Jesus. Matthew 24:31 says “And He will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”

It will be an exciting day when Jesus comes again! That’s why it is so important now for us to be sure we are ready for Him by choosing Him every day, and following where Jesus leads us.
