A: Dear McKayla,

When Jesus comes again, He can only take to heaven those who have accepted His salvation. The Bible tells us that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). A wage is what a person earns. God has warned us that if we choose to live in sin, we are choosing to live apart from Him. He is the source of life. What this means is that when Jesus comes again, if we have chosen to live in sin, it was our choice to die instead of be saved. This is why God says “All those who hate Me love death” (Proverbs 8:36). This is why it is so important that we choose to live for Jesus now, and help others to live for Jesus, too, so we will be ready when He comes again.
