Answer: Thanks for writing! You probably think eating meat is disgusting because you are a vegetarian. There are lots of people who eat meat because they don’t know how to eat without it, and there are some countries where a variety of good food may be a lot harder to find than it is here. God cares about us, and doesn’t want people to starve to death when all they have is clean meat to eat. The good news is that here on earth, we are finding more and better ways to eat vegetarian diets. We are finding that people can live healthier, happier lives as vegetarians. But there are many, many people who don’t understand this, and would not even know how to start to be vegetarian. God in His mercy makes allowances for people who don’t know how to eat better. Of course, in heaven no one will eat meat, because there will be no death and dying. For now, maybe you can find ways to help others learn more about good health for Jesus!
